Writers Tears Inniskillin Ice Wine Cask
A revisit to this popular expression from Walsh Whiskey, which is an exciting marriage of Pot Still and Single Malt Irish Whiskey accented with sweet stone fruit flavour imparted by an icewine finish! A complex expression brought to you in collaboration with the magnificent Inniskillin Winery, Ontario, Canada.
Like last time, this is a very limited release – 600 numbered bottles.
Nose: Flashes of Apple with Hints of Vanilla.
Palate: Gently Spiced, Ginger & Orchard Fruits.
Finish: Finishes with Dark Chocolate.
Writers Tears Double Oak
Writers Tears Double Oak marries both single malt and single pot still whiskeys after a triple distillation, and is aged in both American oak from Kentucky and French oak Cognac casks
Nose Spiced and stewed orchard fruits, lots of sweet and earthy vanilla pod with a side of pear crumble.
Palate Juicy white stone fruits, lychee and lemon peel with a hint of grape skin dryness.
Finish Rich and aromatic spiced dark chocolate.
Writers Tears Japanese Cask Finish
Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon and finished in rare Japanese Mizunara oak barrels for 9 months. Mizunara is an extremely rare Japanese oak with reported characteristics of sandalwood and coconut.
