Waterford’s peated expressions are notable for marrying the earthy, maritime pungency of true Irish peat with their signature terroir-driven single malts. Each edition highlights specific farmlands, exhibiting unique smoke profiles and flavor depth.

Peated Fenniscourt  50%

Nose: Earthy, sweet mossy pungency with herbaceous notes and a subtle, maritime smokiness akin to smoked salmon rather than a heavy campfire.

Palate: Lively with a spring in its step. Briny qualities give way to back notes of hay, malty honey, and a medicinal dried cherry.

Finish: Deep, earthy, and ashy, lingering with the fresh, clean air of a peat bog.

Peated Ballybannon  50%

Nose: Softer initially, revealing noticeable, tender smoke alongside citrus, pear, and hints of grassy florals and vanilla.

Palate: Sparkling and spicy with a rich, smoky coating in the mouth. Sweet notes of banana, apple, honey, and caramel push through the warming smoke.

Finish: A medium-length dry finish, leaving behind wood, cold ash, and spices.

Argot (Cuvée)  50%

Nose: A more approachable profile blending several Single Farm Origins, leading with fresh fruit and citrus, followed by sweet baking spices.

Palate: Balances fresh, crisp orchard fruit with gentle smoke, rounded off with a smooth texture of toasted cereals and creamy vanilla.

Finish: Lingering warmth with delicate hints of hazelnut and a subtle, lingering wisp of smoke.

Peated Lomhar   50%

Nose: An enveloping bouquet featuring rich wood smoke, dried dark fruits, aromatic herbs, and a touch of golden honey.

Palate: The peat is present but well-balanced by a robust, malty sweetness and a soft, warm texture.

Finish: A rich and elegant finish, transitioning naturally from malty sweetness into warming, subtle spices.
