Description

Redbreast 12 Year Old    40% ABV

Nose Aromas of crème caramel, toffee and dried fruits with some touches of spice and coffee.

Palate Rich and oily on the palate with flavours of dried fruits, roasted nuts and exotic spices.

Finish Long, spicy and warm.

Types of Barrel used for Aging Oloroso Sherry Casks with some ex-Bourbon barrels.

Redbreast Cask Strength  59.6 %  ABV

Nose Pronounced aromas of bread, marzipan, vanilla, apricot and citrus with less obvious Sherry cask influence than the standard 12 Year Old.

Palate Forceful, fresh and crisp but with a rich mouthfeel. Almost like an unpeated Scottish coastal malt in character. Tropical fruits, exotic spice and vanilla flavours. Very complex. Becomes spicier with time. Great length, less sherry influence than the standard bottling and a little rougher round the edges, but this is made up by the gloriously complex character.

Types of Barrel used for Aging Combination of Sherry and Bourbon casks

Redbreast PX    46 %  ABV

Nose Hints of fruit, spices and toasted nuts combine with the subtly sweet aroma of Pedro Ximénez sherry seasoned casks.

Palate A zesty, syrupy mouthful with the perfect balance of fruit, spice and toasted notes.

Finish Satisfyingly rich and long, sweet flavours linger on the palate.

Maturation Bourbon and Oloroso before being finished in Pedro Ximénez Hogsheads from southern Spain.

Redbreast Tawney Port     46 %  ABV

Aromas (without water) Sweet and warming confectionery notes of buttered pastry accompanied by aromas of caramelised almonds with subtle undertones of praline and dried cherry.

Flavour Scented floral honey with whisperings of a delicate herbal character linger in the background while the seasoned oak and pot still spices accentuate the sweet and full-bodied nature of this wonderfully balanced whiskey

Finish Lingering finish which sees the pot still spices and fruits slowly fading, leaving the tawny seasoned oak to have the last word.
