Part of the Saga series and the inaugural bottling of Waterford Whiskey Society, paying tribute to their shared Danish Viking heritage and the three brothers Aulaf, Ivor and Sitric who founded cities of Limerick, Dublin and Waterford.
Aged in a first-fill Bourbon cask and then refilled into an ex Madiera cask sourced from Stauning Distillery in Denmark used to mature their danish peated Heather single malt whisky.
The Limerick Spirits Company continue the campaigns of Galloping Hogan, the rebellious hero from the parish of Doon, Co. Limerick. After following the Irish Brigade to France, his service in the French Army was cut short. After duelling with his cousin, he left for Portugal under the punishment of death. Known as Miguel Hogan, his renowned night-time manoeuvres, perfected in the defence of Limerick, were quickly put to good use. In memory of Miguel Hogan and the blood he shed for Portugal, we have sourced a Single Malt Whiskey, which has been finished in a Ruby Port Cask. A tribute to his rebellious spirit, which found hope and peace in his adopted home and with a Portuguese marriage.
As part of the departed spirits of Limerick series. This pays homage to a prolific millitary general known as Peter Lacy. He left Ireland and in his later campaigns joined Tsar Peter of Russia.
This whiskey was sourced from a traditional pot still whiskey and finished in an imperial stout cask from Treaty City Brewery. This style of beer, also known as Russian Imperial Stout, was exported in great volumes during the 18th Century to Russia.
